How to Start.
All inquiries for float training must go through the Lake Country Airways Headquarters in Orillia. Our team in Orillia will help you complete a student profile and refer you to the base that is best suited to you.
All 7 hour endorsements are done on a Cessna 172 in Orillia or Ottawa. Before you register, you must have a recreational or private pilots license and a current medical. If you are travelling from over seas, you will need a Foreign Validation License through Transport Canada.
7 Hour Float (Seaplane) Endorsement
The perfect way to wet your toes and discover the pleasure of float flying. Be introduced to the basics of floatplane operation, including aircraft handling in flight, on the water and at the dock.
